Hydrangea arborescens 'Candybelle Marshmallow'

New to us, this is a compact deciduous shrub with dark green summer leaves and rounded heads of pale pink, marshmallow-like flower heads in mid to late summer. 

Particularly eye-catching when planted in small groups and also grows well in a large container.

• Position: Full sun, partial or fairly heavy shade. Usually has a better flower display with a little shelter from strong wind.
• Soil: Moist yet well drained, fertile soil.
• Hardiness: Hardy. 
• Flowering Period: July - September.
• Rate of Growth: Moderate.
• Habit: A small, compact rounded shrub once established. 
  • Height: up to 1 - 1.2 m (3 - 4 ft)
  • Spread: 1 m (3 ft)

• Pruning: Remove dead or damaged stems from Hydrangea arborescens 'Candybelle Marshmallow' in late winter or early spring.
