  • Position: Warm in full sun or light, dappled shade. Shelter from wind.
  • Soil: Moist yet well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Somewhat hardy to frost tender. Eriobotrya japonica requires shelter from cold winter winds and may be damaged in cold winters. Best by planted by a sheltered wall or fence in cold areas. If grown in a container, move into a cold greenhouse or similar over winter.
