(Weeping Hazel) A rare hazel, Corylus avellana 'Pendula' has a stiffly pendulous habit and is  eye-catching when the main leader is trained up a tall cane to encourage it to grow as an elegant, slender weeping tree. Once the support is removed, the branches will cascade down and the tree will not really grow any taller.

In spring Corylus avellana 'Pendula' is covered with long, ornamental catkins in spring and the leaves are a deep, lush green when they emerge later in the year.
