Cornus officinalis

An unusual shrub or eventually small tree, Cornus officinalis has  masses of attractive yellow flower clusters covering all the branches in late Winter. These flowers are followed by red fruit in late summer. The mid green leaves have handsome red and orange autumn tints before falling. Established plants have interesting  peeling bark. 

Cornus officinalis is a fantastic plant for late winter interest and will flower best in a nice, sunny position.
