A rare and elegant weeping evergreen tree, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Imbricata Pendula' has a generally upright habit and yet arching, pendulous side branches with established trees having branches which reach to the ground.

Ideally when young, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Imbricata Pendula' seems to develops its best shape if the central leading shoot is trained to a support (either tall stake or thick bamboo cane) initially.
