(Eastern Redbud) A superb, graceful large shrub with translucent, heart-shaped dark red leaves in summer which light up like stained glass with shades of crimson and scarlet when backlit by strong sunlight. One of our favourite foliage plants!

Best foliage display will usually be seen when planted in a sunny position with a little shelter from strong winds.
