Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Fastigiata'

This is an unusual and slow growing, columnar evergreen conifer with long dark green, glossy leaves which resemble those of a yew tree. The leaves are arranged in a whorl around the stem.

Suitable for sun or dappled shade but enjoys shelter from strong winds. Slow growing but an excellent ornamental screening plant once established.

• Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
• Soil: Most well drained soil. Avoid area prone to waterlogging.
• Hardiness: Reasonably hardy but requires shelter from strong wind.
• Rate of Growth: Slow.
• Habit: Eventually a very small tree with an upright, narrow habit.

  • Spread: 50 cm (1 1/2 ft).
