A slow growing evergreen tree, Calocedrus decurrens 'Aureovariegata' is very handsome with attractive but irregular dark green and creamy-yellow, scale-like leaves. Established specimens have a conical, upright habit and rough, reddish bark. 

The best leaf colour  will be usually be seen on Calocedrus decurrens 'Aureovariegata' when planted in a hot, sunny position.
