Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Hardy. Acer palmatum 'Cascade' will grow best when planted in an area sheltered from strong winds.
Rate of Growth: Moderate to vigorous.
Habit: A tall shrub in the short term or eventually a very small tree with gently arching branches once established. This is not a stiffly weeping maple.
