New to us, Acer davidii 'Viper' grows to be a lovely small tree with superb ornamental green bark covered with fine vertical silver lines.  The leaves are dark green in colour turning eye-catching shades of orange and purple in autumn before falling. 

A lovely tree once established and a fascinating addition to a winter garden.
