  • Position: Full sun or partial shade.
  • Soil: Any well drained, neutral or slightly acid, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy. Will grow best when planted in an area sheltered from strong winds.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow.
  • Habit: Medium sized shrub with a mound-like form and arching branches.
    • Height: up to 2 m (6 ft)
    • Spread: 2 m (6 ft)
  • Notes: This plant is somewhat similar to Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Garnet', but slightly larger with cascading, arching branches. The Japanese name 'Inaba-shidare translates to 'Leaves of the rice plant' in English!
