Abies koreana 'Aurea'

An unusual slow growing evergreen conifer which has lovely soft golden-green young leaves in spring turning light green later on in summer. The leaves have a pale silver underside.

Slow growing and usually develops a rounded habit initially before gradually developing a leader and a more, upright conical habit in the long term.

• Position: Full sun or dappled shade. Avoid very hot, sunny positions as it can scorch the young leaves in summer.
• Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
• Hardiness: Very hardy.
• Rate of Growth: Slow.
• Habit: Eventually a small tree with a compact and pyramidal habit.
  • Height: up to 6 - 8 m (20 - 26 ft).
  • Spread: up to 3 - 4 m (10 - 13 ft).

• Notes: This plant is slow growing, will take many years to reach the above height.
