Native to parts of western North America, Abies concolor is a beautiful evergreen tree, conical when young with blue-green needles. Young specimens have smooth grey bark which becomes furrowed with age. Mature Abies concolor develop a dome-like crown.

Abies concolor is a handsome specimen tree best suited to a position in full sun and well drained soil. In our experience here in Derbyshire, they dislike wet or waterlogged soil and need good drainage to thrive.
