Description

Available Winter/Spring 2018 A dwarf suckering shrub native to parts of Burma and Western China, Sorbus reducta has fine, shining, dark leaves which turn purple in the autumn before falling. Small clusters of white flowers in spring are followed by ornamental white, flushed rose fruit later in the year.

The low height makes Sorbus reducta an excellent choice of plant for rock gardens or as a companion for heathers, dwarf conifers or other dwarf shrubs.

As this extremely slow growing it is obviously not for instant gratification and is best grown by very patient gardeners who enjoy watching it develop.
