An unusual, small suckering shrub native to parts of Burma and Western China, Sorbus reducta has fine, shining, dark leaves which turn purple in the autumn before falling.
Small clusters of white flowers in spring are followed by ornamental white, flushed rose fruit later in the year. A very small shrub, Sorbus reducta is an excellent plant for rock gardens or a companion for heathers, dwarf conifers or other dwarf shrubs.
