Description
Available Summer 2012 - Native to the forests of New Zealand, Hoheria sexstylosa 'Stardust' is an upright, evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves and masses of pure-white flowers from mid to late summer. These flowers are particularly eye-catching against the green foliage and once established make this a stunning garden plant.

Position: Sheltered position in full sun or light, dappled shade.

Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.

Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Hoheria sexstylosa 'Stardust' requires shelter from cold winter winds and can drop some leaves in cold winters.

Habit: Hoheria sexstylosa 'Stardust' grows to be an upright, densely branching large shrub or eventually, small tree.

Notes: We have a specimen of Hoheria sexstylosa 'Stardust', planted in the woodland garden surrounding our nursery. At 12 years old, it had reached a height of 4 m, a spread of 3 m and is shown in the photos below.
