A beautiful, evergreen plant introduced to the United Kingdom from Morocco in the early 1920's, Cytisus battandieri has pineapple-coloured and scented flowers which are produced in conical clusters in midsummer. The leaves are a delicate silver-grey and have a lovely silky texture.
An excellent, upright plant for growing against a sunny wall and fence and best planted in an often used area of the garden, where the strongly scented flowers can be enjoyed in summer.
