Product Details

A handsome shrub, Syringa vulgaris 'Sensation' has clusters of lovely deep purple flowers with a white edge to the petal in late spring. The flowers are sweetly scented and make this plant a vibrant, attractive addition to a flowering border. Spectacular flowering shrub.

Position: Full sun or light, dapped shade.
Soil: Moist or well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Hardy.
Flowering Period: April - May.
Flower Colour: Purple and white
Rate of Growth: Moderate.
Habit: Tall multi-stemmed shrub.
- Height: 3 m (10 ft)
- Spread: 2.5 m (8 ft)

Notes: To encourage flowering in the following year, prune out the current faded flower panicles immediately after flowering.
