Description

Native to parts of Eastern North America, Rubus odoratus is covered with masses of wide (up to 4 cm), slightly fragrant, purplish-rose coloured flowers in mid to late summer. These flowers stand out well against the large green leaves and an established plant looks a little raspberry-like in appearance. After a hot summer, the flowers are followed by edible red fruit in autumn.
