Information Only -  A rare selection of oak, the first flush of leaves in spring are dark green, but the lammas growth (secondary flush of growth) in late June or July is boldly cream and white variegated.

Quercus robur 'Furst Schwarzenburg' will eventually grow to be a fine small tree suitable particularly when planted against a dark backdrop which showcases the variegated leaves.

This plant is currently listed on our website for Information Only - Although we have grown it in the past, sadly it is not currently available for sale. We hope to have this plant for sale at some point in the future and at this time it will be re-enabled on our website.

  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow.
  • Habit: Quercus robur 'Furst Schwarzenburg' eventually grows to be a very small tree with a branching, rounded crown.
    • Height: 6 - 8 m 20 - 26 ft)
    • Spread: 4 - 6 m (13 - 20 ft)
  • Notes: The variegation of this oak tree is particularly handsome when viewed against a dark backdrop.
