Available Autumn 2019 - An unusual upright honeysuckle, Lonicera tartarica 'Arnold Red' has eye-catching, rose pink flowers in late spring and early summer followed by large, dark red fruit in autumn. These colourful flowers stand out well against the pleasing, cool green leaves.

Lonicera tartarica 'Arnold Red' is an attractive, easy to grow garden shrub which will flower best in a sunny position.

Supplied Size: 5L pots, (approx 4 - 5 years old, 80 - 100 cm tall)

  • Position: Full sun or partial shade.
  • Soil: Any, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Flowering Period: April - June.
  • Flower Colour: Rose pink
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate.
  • Habit: Lonicera tartarica 'Arnold Red' grows to be a medium sized or eventually large branching shrub with a bushy, upright habit once established. Can be pruned hard if required.

  • Notes: Lonicera tartarica 'Arnold Red' can be pruned back hard if required. This form was first raised in the Arnold Arboretum, Massachusetts, United States.
