A rare selection with a stiffly weeping habit, Hamamelis japonica 'Pendula' is covered with masses of small, delicate, slightly scented, yellow flowers in early spring. Growing with a strong main leader, it has a very distinctive appearance once established. The cool green leaves turn shades of red and orange in autumn before falling.

Supplied Size: Sorry, now sold out. We have young specimens of this plant growing on our nursery which will be ready soon. If you are interested in pre-ordering one please call our office on (01530) 413700.

  • Flowering Period: January - March.

  • Habit: Medium sized graceful shrub with a stiffly weeping habit.
    • Height: 2.5 m (8 ft).
    • Spread: 2 m (6 ft).
  • Notes: In soils which may become wet in winter, it is a good idea to mound-plant Hamamelis to improve the drainage around the root system.
