Available Autumn 2018 Native to China, Korea and Japan, Elaeagnus multiflora grows to be a spreading shrub with fragrant flowers in late Spring followed by masses of edible, dark red fruit in mid to late summer once established. The leaves are green with a silvery underside. 

Elaeagnus multiflora is a handsome fruiting shrub, most suited for a sunny position with well drained soil.

  • Position: Full sun.
  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil. Elaeagnus multiflora dislikes waterlogged or wet soils.
  • Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. After a very cold winter, Elaeagnus multiflora may suffer some die back, although it will usually recover well and re-grow in the following year.
