Available Autumn 2017 - A beautiful and unusual plant, Abelia mosanensis was first discovered in Korea has pretty flowers and is noted for its hardiness. It has deliciously scented, white flushed pink flowers in early summer. The scent of the flowers is as good as Hyacinths or Lilac.

The leaves are an attractive pale green in spring and summer before turning orange and red in a good, crisp autumn. Sometimes slow growing when young and not usually a plant for instant gratification!

  • Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade. Flowers best in a warm, sunny position.
  • Soil: Any fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Reasonably hardy.
  • Flowering Period: May - June
  • Rate of Growth: Slow to moderate.
  • Habit: Abelia mosanensis grows to be a small or medium sized shrub with a somewhat open habit.
    • Height: up to 1.5 m (5 ft)
    • Spread: 1.5  m (5 ft)
  • Notes: Ideally,   Abelia mosanensis should be planted in an often used area of the garden (near a path, door, etc), where the wonderful fragrance of the flowers can be best appreciated.
