Description

Cherry 'Stella' is a self-fertile cherry with masses of sweet, dessert cherries with a delicate flavour that are wonderful when eaten fresh. The fruit are red, darkening to dark red and black as they ripen.

These are on a dwarfing rootstock and will grow into garden small trees.

Supplied Size: Bare root plants (approx 3 years, 125 - 150 cm tall)

  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Flowering Period: April - May.
  • Flower Colour: White
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate.
  • Habit: Cherry 'Stella' grows to be a small branching tree.

  • Notes: The fruit can be picked in late summer. It can be frozen and used later in the year or eaten fresh.
