A vigorous climbing rose native to China, Rosa banksiae 'Lutea' has long, slender shoots covered with dark green leaves and clusters of pretty, scented, creamy white or pale creamy-yellow flowers in late spring.

Rosa banksiae 'Lutea' is particularly suitable for scrambling up an old tree or trellis to create new interest!

 Supplied Size: 3L pots (approx 3 - 4 years old, 40 - 60 cm tall)

  • Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Frost hardy. Rosa banksiae requires winter protection in cold areas.
  • Flowering Period: April - May.
  • Rate of Growth: Vigorous.
  • Habit: Rosa banksiae grows to be a large climbing plant.
    • Height: up to  8 m (26 ft)
    • Spread: 6 m (20 ft)
  • Notes: Rosa banksiae not self-cling and requires support.
