Description

Available Autumn 2019 - A handsome, versatile climber, Hydrangea anomala subsp petiolaris has fresh-green foliage and lovely white lacecap-style flower clusters, up to 25cm (10 inches) across in early summer.

When established, this makes a stunning, self-clinging wall plant and can also grow as an interesting and unusual ground cover plant in the absence of a support up which to climb.

  • Position: Full sun or partial shade.
  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy
  • Flowering Period: May - July.
  • Flower Colour: White
  • Rate of Growth: Slow until established then moderate.
  • Habit: Hydrangea anomala subsp petiolaris grows to be a large, self-clinging climbing plant.
    • Height: up to 15 m (50 ft) - can be pruned for smaller areas if required.
    • Spread: 5 m (16 ft)
  • Notes: Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris is particularly suitable for growing against a shady, north facing wall.
