Description

A native large shrub, Crataegus monogyna has pretty white flowers in late spring, followed by large clusters of bright red fruit in autumn that are particularly popular with wildlife. The branches are covered with sharp thorns, which make it ideal for use in a barrier hedge.

• Habit: Large densely branching shrub or very small tree if left unpruned.

• Spread: 6 m (20 ft) if left unpruned.
• Pruning: Once the Crataegus monogyna hedge reaches the required height, prune twice a year, in spring and autumn to shape.
• Notes: Available to order from November to February only.
• Size: 60 - 100 cm tall bare root plants
