Description
Native to Chile in South America,
Ugni molinae is an unusual, evergreen shrub with dark green, glossy leaves which emit a spicy aroma when crushed. Drooping white or pale pink flowers appear on the branches in early summer which can be up to 1.5 - 2 cm in diameter. These flowers are followed by dark reddish-purple, edible, sweet fruit which can be made into a pleasent jam!
