Description
An unusual and beautiful species of lilac tree native to northern Japan, Syringa reticulata is one of the largest lilacs, with pretty flowers and rounded, green leaves from spring onwards. The leaves make an excellent backdrop for the masses of showy, scented, creamy-white flowers spikes which appear in early summer.
Known for being tough and easy to grow, Syringa reticulata makes a superb street tree and is an asset to nearly any flowering border when a little height is required. The Japanese tree lilac will produce its best display of flowers in a sunny position.
