Description
This semi-evergreen Magnolia with lovely large flowers is a new introduction to the United Kingdom from its native habitat in the swamps and low woods of the east coast of North America. Magnolia virginiana 'Moonglow' has wonderful long-lasting, lemon-scented, creamy white flowers in late spring and a striking upright habit. The leaves are large and cool green with a silver underside. An unusual, handsome garden plant!

Position: Sheltered in full sun or light, dappled shade.

Soil: Moist, lime-free or acidic soil.

Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. A semi-evergreen Magnolia, this will loose its leaves in a cold winter, while retaining them in a milder one.
