Unusual and eye-catching, Magnolia x brooklynensis 'Yellow Bird' has fantastic, clear lemon-yellow, goblet shaped flowers in late spring which are very handsome against the otherwise dark green leaves. A spectacular Magnolia which grows into a large garden shrub or very small tree!

• Soil: Well drained, fertile soils.

• Rate of Growth: Moderate.
• Habit: Large branching shrub or eventually small, multi-stemmed tree.
• Height: 6 m (20 ft)
• Spread: 4 m (13 ft)
• Notes: We have found that although hardy, this Magnolia is best planted in an area which does not receive early morning sunlight in spring, as this combined with a frost can cause damage to the flowers.
• Size: 2L containers (60 - 80 cm tall - single stem)
