New to us, Fagus sylvatica 'Fruticosa' is a rare, slow growing, densely branching beech usually growing with a mulit-stemmed habit and large, rounded dark green summer leaves. The leaves turn shades of bronze before falling in autumn.

Fagus sylvatica 'Fruticosa' is a handsome shrub or eventually a very small branching tree in many years which is suited to gardens with limited space and can be grown in a large container if required.
