Description

INFORMATION ONLY - An unusual Acer with interesting leaves native to Central and Western China which was introduced by Ernest Wilson in 1901. This has lovely large, cool green, 3 lobed leaves in spring and summer which can show pretty yellow tints in a good, crisp autumn before falling.

Acer sterculiaceum ssp franchetti also has drooping clusters of relatively large, pale green flowers in late spring or early summer. A handsome tree when established!
