Description
Vigorous, large maple of great beauty, especially when the wind ruffles its foliage revealing the silver underside of the leaf. The branches tend to weep slightly, the leaves are sharply toothed and are an attractive green in the spring / summer months, before turning shades of yellow and bronze in the autumn.
Acer saccharinum 'Laciniatum Wieri' is an excellent choice of tree for larger gardens or an area where shade is required in a reasonably short time span.
