Description
This blue form was first introduced to the United Kingdom in 1860 and two of the original specimens continue to thrive at Elvaston Castle near Derby. A rare selection with steel-blue foliage and chestnut red bark when established, Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Glaucum' also seems to have a slightly more narrow habit then a classic Sequoiadendron giganteum when young.
A spectacular and unusual cultivar with fetching blue-grey foliage.
