  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil. Pinus nigra 'Aurea' generally dislikes very wet, poorly drained soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow
  • Habit: Eventually a large tree with a dense crown once established.
    • Height: up to 20 m (65 ft)
    • Spread: 7 m (23 ft).
  • Notes: Pinus nigra 'Aurea' tends to grow slowly and will take many years to reach the above height.
