A handsome form of Norway spruce, if left untrained, Picea abies 'Inversa' will reach a height of no more than 75 - 100 cm tall, but will develop a large spread and droop gracefully over garden features. When the main leader is trained up a support or large bamboo cane, it grows to be an exquisite, weeping small tree, with the branches hanging downwards and clinging tightly to the main stem.
Picea abies 'Inversa' is particularly striking when trained over an arch as in the lovely alpine garden at Champex in Switzerland where it has been used to create a living 'moongate'.
Supplied Size: 40 - 60L pot (approx 180 cm (6 ft) tall, 100 cm (3 ft) spread, not including pot). This plant has been trained to this height and has featured in many show displays we have created over the years.
This plant is to large for delivery by our mail order service and is available for collection from our nursery. A large estate car or preferrably small van will be sufficient.
