Description

Information Only - A rare and dwarf cultivar, Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Little Giant' has lovely apple green foliage which turns bronze in the autumn before falling. This cultivar has the same form but is much smaller and slower growing than a classic Metasequoia and ideal for gardens with limited space.

This plant is currently listed on our website for Information Only - Sadly it is not currently available for sale. We hope to have this plant for sale at some point in the future and at this time it will be re-enabled on our website.


  • Position: Full sun or partial shade.
  • Soil: Moist, fertile soil. Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Little Giant' particularly enjoys damp or wet sites.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow.
  • Habit: Small tree with a conical habit.
    • Height: up to 8 m (26 ft).
    • Spread: 3 m (10 ft).
  • Notes: Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Little Giant' is slow growing and will take many years to reach the above height.
