Description
Unusual and deciduous climber, Akebia trifoliata is an elegant plant with lush green, three lobed, wavy-edged leaflets. Small clusters of dark purple flowers with a faint scent appear in spring, followed by long, sausage-like fruit later in the year after a warm summer. A lovely climbing plant for a sheltered garden.
